Erin O鈥橠onoghue, DMS, M.S., PA-C, ATC-ret, fulfills the role of principal faculty and director of didactic education for the Northeast Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program. Prior to joining us here at 九色导航, she has served as principal faculty and director of academic education for the West Coast University PA program in California, and principal faculty and admissions coordinator for Monmouth University鈥檚 PA program. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2011 from Seton Hall University. While immersed in clinical practice, Erin felt particularly drawn to educating her patients to establish collaborative treatment plans. This led her to pursue higher education and after a semester of adjunct teaching, Erin transitioned to academia full time in 2017. Much like her relationship with patients, Erin feels PA education is a true collaboration between faculty and student that thrives on teamwork, communication, and a safe space to grow and learn. Life circumstances led Erin to a passion for oncology and patient advocacy; she loves to incorporate this passion into PA education while continuing this work clinically. In her spare time Erin enjoys running and adventures with her 14-year-old son. Clinically, besides her work in oncology, Erin has worked as a PA in orthopedics and pain management and was a previous certified athletic trainer.
